LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS
The counseling ministry offers a trustworthy group of counselors who provide professional guidance.
Christ-centered, professional counseling is available through our campus with licensed professional counselors that have years of education, life experience, and professional practice to help direct the healing process.
Our treatment approach addresses the whole person; emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Both male and female counselors are available and fees are low compared to other professional services in our community.

James Caldwell, LPC
Focus: Youth, Parents, Premarital
James Caldwell offers many years of experience counseling individuals from age ten and up, couples, and families. His specialization covers many issues: anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, grief and loss, relational issues, bullying, premarital and marital, and parenting. He provides a relaxed and caring environment for those he counsels.

Shelley Raymond, LPC, MFT
Focus: Adults, Marriage, Parenting (Online Only)
Shelley Raymond is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and specializes in providing marriage therapy for couples, as well as individual adolescent and individual adult issues. Shelley earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling. As an LPC, she is certified in many counseling Therapies, including EMDR trauma, for individuals and couples. Shelley is available for online counseling only.

Michelle Northam, LCSW
Focus: Adults and addictions, anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, parenting
Michelle Northam graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of North Florida and holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas and Maryland. As a follower of Jesus Christ, she looks forward to coming alongside you on your journey to healing.
Everyone has a story, and those stories are full of experiences of pain, hardship, and disappointment. These experiences are not what defines a person, we are so much more than our past. Through God’s redeeming power, prayer, Christian counselors, and solid therapeutic practices, she has been able to find peace, wholeness, and healing from the pain that she has experienced in her own life. The pain of the past no longer controls or hinders her, it is now part of her redefined story that she uses to bring hope to others struggling. Derek Smith, MS, MATS, NCC, LPC, LCDC
Focus: Ages 13 through Adults
Derek specializes in working with trauma, grief, anxiety disorders, depression, guilt, shame, addictions, couples and family counseling. He works with those experiencing life transition struggles, as well as the LGBTQ population and older adults with end of life decisions. Derek also works with challenges that adoptive parents and children could experience.

Linda L. May, LCSW-LCDC

Linda May graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with an undergraduate and master's degree in social work. She is recognized in the state of Texas as a licensed chemical dependency counselor and is a trained Stephen Minister. Linda has experience working in a psychiatric outpatient setting specializing in issues including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, unresolved grief, bipolar disorder and addictions. Her passion includes providing quality Christian care in a nonjudgmental,
safe space.

Counseling Referral Consultant
Kacy Flanagan, MS, LPC-S
Kacy Flanagan completed her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler and her master's degree in counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She became an LPC in 2004 and received her supervisor license in 2009. She has experience in working with children, teens, young adults and women, including issues such as infertility, grief and loss, women's health, relationships, child abuse, foster care and adoption. Kacy is an active member of Parkway Hills and provides assistance connecting church families with counselors.
