Equipping families to disciple the next generation one step at a time.

We believe that God designed the church and the family to work together in raising the next generation of Christians. God’s plan for spiritual formation is clearly stated in Deuteronomy 6:4-7:
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.”
With the church and family working together to pass down the faith to the next generation in every day of life, we need a common path on which to walk. We call this path “The Legacy Milestone Path.” Our goal is to help people mature along this path. We will equip families to lead faith talks, capture God moments, and celebrate Milestones on this path. The journey will produce a generation of children emerging as adults who know how to love God, love people, and equip their sons and daughters to do the same.
FAITH TALKS
Faith talks are intentional times set aside each week for conversation around the Scripture with your family. Faith talks are vital in leading your children along the path between each milestone.
GOD MOMENTS
God moments are moments ordained by God and designed for parents to speak truth into their children amid normal life situations. These moments provide families a way to see God working in the world.
MILESTONES
A Milestone is an event which celebrates a spiritual development point in a child’s life. When a milestone is reached, growth is celebrated as praise for how God is working in the person.

What is Milestone Sunday?

At Parkway Hills one of our desires is to equip families to be the Primary Faith Trainers of their children. One way we do this is through the Legacy Milestone Path; a simple plan to make an eternal difference!
As families embark on this journey, we ask parents to participate in various Milestone classes. These classes include
information and resources for parents to recognize and accept the responsibility as their child’s Primary Faith Trainer and will equip them to introduce their child to the God of the Bible, teach them to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and strength, and help to build a strong foundation based on biblical truths.
