55+ is a series of integrated lay driven ministries geared to adult men and women 55 years of age and older.  The identified ministries align with the needs and interests of both church members and the community beyond our church.

Ministry programs focus on:

• Spiritual Enrichment
• Service Opportunities
• Education Opportunities
• Social Events
• Communications
• Senior Adult Choir

There are monthly activities that address many of the individual ministries.  55+ provides a wonderful opportunity to become part of a meaningful ministry that will utilize the talents of the senior adult community. Our aim is to strengthen the church and provide a positive impact for Jesus Christ on believers and non-believers in our community.

We hope that you will become a part of this exciting ministry at ParkwayHills.  Familiarize yourself with this portion of our church web-site and learn about upcoming events.  Also, stop by the 55+ bulletin board in the hall adjacent to the main worship center and see our members at work and play!  We want our programs to be meaningful to most in the age group above 55 years of age.  Take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire.

55+ Choir Signup Begins!
Join adults ages 55 and older in the start-up of the 55+ Choir. The choir will be for anyone in the church and in the community who loves music and fellowship.  Sign up now and invite friends and neighbors in the community. Participants do not have to be members of Parkway Hills.  Rehearsals will start on Thursday evening, September 23 beginning at 7:00 and concluding no later than 8:30.  Carla Cox will direct the 55+ Choir and is available to answer any questions.  You may sign up for the 55+ Choir by contacting Carla at carla.j.cox@sbcglobal.net or by calling the Music Office at the church at 972-403-1010 x 120.

The 55+ Food Brigade is ready to serve the ParkwayHills community by reaching out in love and concern to those ParkwayHills members that may not be connected to a Life Group.  The Food Brigade will provide meals to families in need as a result of illness, surgery or instances of unusual occurrence.  To make a request or obtain more information, please call Jean Sampson (972-562-1677) or Ruth Anne Donnell (972-416-6808).
